The Mobula8 is Happymodel’s first 85mm whoop, now with the power to carry Digital FPV! It comes with the new F405HD series flight controller, EX1103 KV11000 motor and Gemfan Hurricane 2023 tri-blade propeller, which has excellent power performance and extremely smooth flight.

Please note this is the DJI O3 LITE edition, you will need to add your own DJI O3 Air Unit.  The package has all the parts needed (including the dipole antennas) just plug in your DJI O3 in a simple install as follows:

    I want to love this quad. It flies super well and the base frame, AIO, motors etc are all awesome.

    However, I feel that the O3 air unit enclosure is not super well thought-out. It’s difficult to fit the O3 air unit in the enclosure without damaging the ribbon cable, and the antenna mounting is also quite bad.

    One of my dipole antennas has already taken some decent damage, with the tip being sucked into a prop and the other end being half pulled out of the UFL connector.

    What I’ve done now, and strongly recommend is to mount two small zip ties next to the slots for the antennas and use heat shrink tubing to hold the antennas to the zip ties. This adds much needed stiffness to the antennas and prevents them from being sucked into the props.

    The battery mounting also leaves something to be desired. I like using the 750mah 2s HV GNB batteries for longer flight times and you have to mount this toilet tank style with an elastic band, as they don’t fit into the battery mount.

    A power supply for the O3 air unit, and a lens protector would also be appreciated.

    However, despite all of these gripes, you can’t argue with the performance and the price.
