KiwiQuads 2023 Highlights and Looking Forward to 2024!

Dear KiwiQuads Community,

Happy New Year! We hope you’ve had a fantastic holiday season and been getting plenty of flying in this beautiful sunny weather!

As we embrace 2024, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the past years best sellers and share some exciting updates for the future!

Your most popular products of 2023:

  1. CNHL Black Series: Our range of CNHL Black batteries, especially the 4S 1500 and 6S 1300, stood out for their exceptional value and versatility, making them a top choice among our customers.
  2. Beginner Kits: The EMAX Tinyhawk kits, particularly the new TH3+ series with HDZero models, were the perfect entry point for beginners. The BetaFPV Cetus X kit also deserves special mention for pioneering the move to ExpressLRS.
  3. Li-Ion Cells: The Samsung 30Qs continued to be the go-to for powering radios and goggles. Our 21700 Samsung 40T and 50E cells were popular for long-range pack builders. We’re proud of our extensive range of genuine cells and are excited to expand it even further in 2024.
  4. Propellers: Kiwi Pilots top picks include iFlight 5″ Nazgul F5 series, HQProp R38s, and Ethix Rad-berrys!
  5. Radios: 2023 was undoubtedly the year of RadioMaster. Their range, including Tx16s, Tx12, Zorro, Boxer, and Pocket models, all running edgetx and expressLRS, were highly sought after. The TBS Tango II was a standout, consistently flying off our shelves.
  6. Whoops: With last summer’s unpredictable weather, the Mobula 7 and Mobula 8 gained popularity. The Nazgul Evoque V2 continued to reign supreme in the BNF Drones category

What trends are we monitoring in 2024:

  • Will 10″ drones become the new standard over 7″?
  • Are we on the brink of H7 processors replacing F7?
  • Can Jumper or FrSky catchup to RadioMaster?
  • And, of course, will we get enough good weather!?

Important Admin Notices:

On the admin front, we’ve made a update to our KQ Points policy. Points earned from 15th January 2023 will now have a 12-month expiry period. This change is designed to balance the growing community rewards with our operational needs, while still providing ample time for you to redeem your points.  Note exisiting points are not effected.

We have also revised our shipping tiers to better align with the changes in shipping costs, after multiple increases from NZPost in 2023.  This will involve more accurate categorization of products into standard, medium, and large tiers to ensure fair and efficient shipping rates as follows:

Your feedback is always welcome, and we encourage you to let us know if there’s something you’d like to see in our inventory.

Here’s to a fantastic year ahead, filled with innovation, excitement, and, most importantly, happy flying!

 Warm regards, The KiwiQuads Team
