KiwiQuads Source One 5″ Racing Drone w/ DJI HD FPV BNF

The SOURCE ONE project is a first of its kind collaborative 5-inch FPV frame project initiated by Team BlackSheep. The frame is donated to the community to empower creators and makers, and integrate best practices and current trends faster into a continuously manufactured product.

This BNF version of the TBS Source One includes the 3D printed accessory kit featuring motor arm protectors, an antenna mount, and other neccessary parts to protect the frame.

Should I choose 4s, 5S, or 6s?

This BNF drone comes with 3 options of KV for your motors, 2400Kv for 4s, 1900Kv for 5S, or 1700Kv for 6s. The rest of the build is identical as all the parts support 4s, 5s or 6s builds. Generally 4s will be a little bit cheaper since the batteries are lower cost and a bit easier to manage 4 cells compared to 6 cells. The 6S version will have a bit more potential power with the higher voltage, however the lower Kv motors help offset the raise in voltage to have a similar feel to the 4s setup. You can’t go wrong with either setup, so it’s up to you.

Do I need to add a Radio Receiver?

The base version of this model includes the Caddx Vista which can link to the DJI FPV Controller without any additional receivers. If you plan on using a different radio, you’ll need to add the appropriate receiver for your radio. Please contact us if you need help with this.
