Troubleshooting Tips

How to bind the Meteor75 Lite Drone to the LiteRadio 2 Controller

This is a common issue and can happen if you accidentally hit the bind button on the radio. Occassionally the drone will not be bound from the factory and you will need to bind it yourself.

  1. First make sure the LiteRadio controller is in D8 mode. To check this, turn off the radio, hold down the throttle (left stick) and turn it on. After the controller vibrates you should see the purple LED flash three times. If it does not flash three times, it is in the wrong mode and will need to be set. Follow the procedure on this page to change your protocol to D8.
  2. Set the drone to binding mode by holding in the small button that says “bind” on the bottom of the drone’s flight controller. There are two buttons, be careful to press the bind button on the right side. While holding this button, plug in a battery. You may need someone to help you do this.
  3. Once the drone is plugged in, you should see the Blue LED on the bottom flash a couple times and then remain solid blue. If it is not solid blue, please repeat step 2.
  4. Now the drone is in binding mode, with the controller turned on, press the ‘Bind’ button on the back of the controller once. You should see the blue and purple LEDs flashing for about 5-10 seconds. The blue LED on the drone’s flight controller should now start flashing quickly.
  5. Restart the drone by unplugging the battery and plugging it back in. Your model is now bound and ready to fly!

What to do if the drone propellers are making a strange sound

Check there is nothing obstructing the propellers and they can spin freely. You also need to check the blue and white battery plug that it isn’t hitting the bottom of the propeller. Another cause may be the propeller rubbing on the guard. If the guard is bent out of shape and rubbing, gently apply some heat using a hairdrier to mold the frame back to it’s original form.
