How to Change Your VTX Settings in Betaflight OSD

The Betaflight OSD menu is a powerful feature which has many settings and can greatly increase your flying experience. The menu is built in to every OSD compatible flight controller running Betaflight. One of the main sub-menus you will often use in the menu is the VTX settings. A smart-audio compatible VTX will allow you to change video channels and power settings right from your headset and controller in the field.

Note for DJI HD FPV users: The DJI FPV system does not use the smart-audio protocol or support the Betaflight OSD menu. You need to change video settings in the DJI Goggles.

Accessing the Betaflight OSD Menu

To access the Betaflight menu, simply move your throttle to the centre and yaw left, while pitching forward.

Mode 2 configuration

Once you have done this, you will see the menu open up on the screen.

You can now navigate the menu using the right stick (pitch/roll) to enter, exit, and scroll items.

Changing the VTX settings

With the OSD menu open, navigate to Features > VTX SA. This will open all of the Smart Audio settings.

Within this menu, you can now set the video band, channel, and power option to your preferred setting.

To save your new settings, press right on the Set item near the bottom and navigate back to the main menu.
